It’s probably not a news flash that gas doesn’t seem to be getting any cheaper. People all over are asking what they can do about the rise in price, and often the answer is to choose a different vehicle. That’s simple, right? But what kind of vehicle should you choose? Just maybe, you should try a hybrid car.

The hybrid cars are the talk of the town these days. They come in great colors, sleek styles, and they will make your commute less expensive. When you look at those characteristics of a hybrid car, how could you not choose to run to the car dealer right now and pick one up? Well, we all wish we could do just that, but before you run out, maybe you should learn a bit more about these cars.

A hybrid car is a vehicle that is run on electricity. A combination of a conventional propulsion system and a rechargeable energy storage system that is onboard the vehicle work together to give the vehicle better fuel economy than cars that run strictly on gasoline.

Hybrid cars are unlike battery electric vehicles because the batteries used in hybrid cars do not have to be charged by an external source. Instead, in order to get a charge, kinetic energy is generated by way of regenerative braking. Furthermore, some hybrid cars make use of their own combustion engine to create electricity. The combustion engine does this by spinning an electrical generator. The spinning does one of two things. It can either recharge the battery or in a more direct way, it can give power to an electric motor. This motor is what then drives the vehicle.

Therefore, because this fuel-economizing vehicle can generate its own electricity, it is very different from a vehicle that is run strictly on batteries. But, there is no waiting while your car charges up outside in the garage before you go to work. All you have to do is get into the car and ride.

It is true that some people have experimented with electrical vehicles in the past. However, the introduction of the hybrid car outdid these types of cars when it came on the scene.

Because the hybrid car is so innovative in the way it powers itself and the way it is able to save travelers money on fuel, it’s called the car of the future. At least that’s what some automakers believe, and many consumers agree with them. The next wave of the automotive market, Hybrid cars continue to be purchased by customers as the years go on.

So if you want a car that saves on gas and will make you the talk of town, perhaps you should invest in a hybrid car.

And you might find yourself tired of just pulling over at local gas stations to fuel up. If that’s the case, you have another reason to think about purchasing a hybrid car. So get on over to the car dealer. It could be the best decision of your future.

Hybrid cars are the cars that use at least two power sources. They are leaps ahead in terms of emission reduction and fuel economy. The first hybrid vehicle was created in 1899. Since then, the hybrid car industry has seen much development and has witnessed an encouraging response from customers and governments alike. One of the leading brands in Hybrid cars is Toyota, which has invested a lot in the manufacturing of Hybrid vehicles. Though some auto makers are reluctant to step in for hybrid production, it seems that hybrid vehicles are here to stay.

Hybrid cars use a rechargeable energy storage system. With smaller, more efficient engines, the demand of hybrid cars is on the rise, though kept at bay due to their exuberant costs.

In 2010, there are quite a few hybrid cars, which will make it to the market forefront. These include Chevrolet Volt 2011 model, Fisker Karma, Honda Fit Hybrid, Honda CR-Z, Hyundai Sonata hybrid, hybrid HDi vehicles by PSA Peugeot Citroen, 2010 Detroit, 2010 Cadillac, 2010 Mercedes Benz, 2010 Lexus RX, and Toyota Auris hybrid amongst many others.

A glimpse in the hybrid car industry in 2010 shows some pleasant arrivals. In the year 2010, BMW is set to introduce two gas-electric hybrids, BMW ActiveHybrid 7 and BMW ActiveHybrid X6. The former is the fastest while BMW ActiveHybrid X6 is set to be the most powerful hybrid in the world. These vehicles will have fuel efficiencies up by 15-20%. Escalade 2-Mode Hybrid SUV by Cadillac, which is classy, luxurious and fuel-economizing, is expected to come in soon. Lexus, a division of Toyota, offers a range of hybrids including RX450h, GS 450h and LS 600h. Hs 250h offered by Lexus is the first one by the company to use carbon-neutral Ecological plastic materials in its passenger compartment.

Mercedes offers a large luxury car, S400 hybrid and Mercedes Benz-M class. In Mercedes Benz Class, the night view allows the driver to view 500 feet at night. Mercury offers Mariner hybrid SUV and Milan Hybrid. Altima Hybrid is being offered by Nissan. The full electric Nissan Leaf by Nissan will be available to the public in 2012, although it is available now for government and corporations. Toyota offers Prius, Camry and the Highlander. Ford fusion hybrid is a combination of quality and technology.

With Toyota being the hybrid leader, Prius is best selling hybrid in the world. Its sales have exceeded one million since its debut in 1997. So, Prius dominates the hybrid market. Mazda Tribute allows speeding up to 25 mph on full electric power.

Though hybrids are becoming pretty popular, they have not penetrated amidst the masses because of their high price. Due to the financial aspect, hybrids do not make much sense to auto manufacturers; experts however claim that hybrids will inevitably swarm the industry and our lives in the near future.

By combining electric power with gas power, the hybrid car is able to deliver better gas mileage and save the owner from having to empty their bank account just to full the gas tank.

The economy minded person should not have to surrender comfort, the Honda Civic hybrid has CD/CDR/CDRW/MP3 audio system, giving the choice of how you want your music served.

The Lexus IS are compact executive cars that have been sold since 1999. The name IS stands for Intelligent Sport. The first generation IS was launched in competition to the European luxury sport Sedan brands. It received favorable reviews and was awarded the Car of the Year title in Japan. The IS models now in use are the second generation models and were first premiered in 2006. These are sleeker and more elegant than their predecessors and deliver better performance.

The IS 250 C is the latest model of the Lexus IS and was launched in Europe in the summer of 2009. It has an award winning compact Sedan design along with superior quality features which give an amazing driving experience. It is a luxury convertible car which combines elegance with performance.

The car has only two doors, and the sharper angles and lines give it a sportier look than the previous models. The hard top roof has the record for the fastest opening time of just twenty seconds. It also has a remarkable folding mechanism which allows the car to have generous rear space. Once folded, it gives the car a clean and sleek look with no obvious breaks. Apart from the bonnet, head lamps and mirrors, all other features of the car have been redesigned. The front overhang of the car has been slightly increased so as to increase the aero dynamic quality. One of the most attractive features is the subtle boat tail rear spoiler which is exclusive to this model. The IS is a beautiful car overall and appeals to people of all generations.

The interior of the car is similarly breathtaking. The car has high quality leather seats and aluminium pedals. The front seats are heated and have an innovative arched shape to provide more comfort while driving. The doors have been made around 300 millimetres longer in order to provide easier rear seat access. There is also a one touch walk-in button which offers high-speed, automatic front seat fold-and-slide activation for greater convenience. The car has a climate control system to make top down driving more comfortable. The car comes with a Mark Levinson Premium Surround System with a built-in equalizer to provide consistent audio quality whether the hard top is up or down; this system automatically adjusts the sound when the roof is opened or closed.

The car has a 2.5 litre V6 engine and a 6 speed automation system which give it optimal performance and fuel economy. The car has state-of-the-art safety features which provide a secure riding experience even at high speeds.
